Pollok is a large district on the south-western side of the city which was built to house families from the over crowded inner city. Built from the 1920's to 1950's housing 30,000.

THE Interns were a five piece band from Pollok, Glasgow.

They formed in October 1963 and band members were Johnny Campbell (singer), Jim Collins (lead guitar), Andy Neil (rythm guitar), Frank Sutton (bass guitar) and Allan Craig (drums). (continued)
